Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten
Reading Neil Gaiman’s Coraline I was much affected by his quote about dragons, which he says was from G.K. Chesterton. Turns out he paraphrased, but I love the Gaiman version better than the GK version!
I’ve used it in a few works since. The first works in this series was done in January 2015.
