Aldi had sharpie like markers on sale – $20 for 60 of them.
I had passed them by many times, and finally succumbed.
The thing with sharpies is that they work so much better on china-coated paper, which is mostly not great for making books in my experience – given how I make books.
I remembered that the Electoral Boundaries books Nicola had given me a few christmases ago (salvaged from the parliament house library dumpster) was china coated paper.
So here are the giant doodles I have been doing. I’ve worked with these books on things before. So much that I have a theme for it: Electoral Boundaries!
These are not great art, and the sound and texture of the markers is quite soothing when I’m feeling tired (recently that’s been true). Also, most of my awake and creative hours have been going to the bookshelf.
But that’s done now, so this may acquire more layers or something, who is to say?
