The library

Cindy Tonkin - May 2, 2015

For the past few weeks I’ve been working on this tiny library.
The box used to hold two bottles of wine. Each shelf is 2.5 inches deep.
Previous pictures of the contents included a few more books, but while they were beautiful books they didn’t look right in the shelf.
So they’ll go off and have an independent life, and I’m making more books for the second shelf.
And one of those books is here.
It’s a double concertina. The 2 concertinas are a different heights, so it makes them nicely assymetrical.
Usually with a double concertina like this I would cut windows so you can see the beauty inside, but the assymetry means I don’t have to.
i like it best on its side (as pictured at the bottom).
now where to put the colophon?
