Russian Dresses was inspired by Russian Dolls (Dior Dolls).
Like a lot of things I make it grew as I made it. I cut the dressesfirst, from b&w paisley card. Then I coloured them (with sharpies). Then I found the bouquet of flowers while looking for a suitable inside cover, but it looked wrong until I added red sharpie to the background.
it’s petite, it’s colourful, and I like it a lot.
I particularly like it when I compress the side of the concertina to show a side view, like an accordion. This and ten dresses both look good like that (ten dresses having more guts probably looks better, but who can love one child more than another?)
