Picasso inspired

Cindy Tonkin - November 29, 2021

Continuing my collage series. Last week I created versions of Van Gogh’s bedroom, and Vuillard’s flowers.

I tried this postcard of a Picasso called Nature Morte a la bouteille, la sole et l’aiguillere. Apparently he made the original on fibre cement with enamel paint. I think I probably bought the postcard when i was in Paris in 2004 or the South of France in 2012.

I tried one or two versions of it collaged on origami paper. but i had a hankering to work with more patterns, and this wasn’t working with them. So i moved on to Modigliani-inspired. I may return.
