Inside a pale grey cover, with windows.
You’ll notice that the windows resemble the windows in Divorce 3, because originally Divorce 3 was going to be a carousel. I had the left over windows, so they have become this work. Divorce just keeps on giving!
There were a few bands of paper left, and the glue which held the Donna Hay magazines to the canvas paper wasn’t very secure (it was aquadhere / PvA I believe, but the original work was done in 2003, so 22 years is a long time – the glue is still kind of there, it’s the magazine paper which didn’t hold I suspect).
I peeled the canvas paper away and so these little squares had the palimpsest-like elements of the blue. That’s what i used for the grid, and for the spine and front cover decoration.
