So I found this canvas by the side of the road – the canvas was damaged a little, and the frame was broken a little. I collaged over the canvas, and have repaired the frame.
It’s 90 x 120cm.
I covered it with some business card-sized pieces I stencilled with ink and with watercolour pens. Then there’s a layer of pattern paper, and then some white twistable crayons.
For the record I have added the stencils i used for this piece (and for others). It includes some words from Mack the knife, some quotes from sondheim, the bellbirds poem, and a few others.
