Robes Parisiennes

Inspired / building on Seam Line.

wanted to make it bigger.

cut the dresses using the cricut from vintage postcards. This is the negative space from Vintage Paris Dresses.

I love the muted pastels of it all. You’ll see images of some of the original postcards below (or else with Vintage Paris Dresses)

I was going for a more transparent look, and the light didn’t quite work in the way I wanted it to, but the colours please me greatly. the video shows that some of the pages have become unglued: glue stick is so convenient, but i probably should either make the pleats a little deeper so there’s more hold, or use PVA (or both).

The postcards I think my Aunty Sue gave to me, and i’ve been saving them for something “special”. Well today is special. Always!

The book is the size of a postcard (A6 105 x 148mm), postcards are backed with pattern tissue. The form is a single flag concertina.
