Sturt’s eclectica

Cindy Tonkin - November 6, 2016

At Sturt’s Eclectica exhibition today saw some treasures. It was too densely packed, so you had to look hard.

Here’s an idea i’d like to appropriate and do differently – wires wrapped around rocks to be a stand for a mobile-like thing (may even try it out for Sydney’s Smallest Gallery, which I’m making pieces for right now)

I loved the way this artist had captured the lean of the ‘roo on the grass.

This is a more permanent structure near the Gallery – it’s hard to see in the pictures, but it’s tiny ceramic objects attached to beautiful smooth branches (not growing ones).
