Yesterday Sian and I met at the AGNSW. We spent a lovely hour talking with a tour guide about 3 pieces in the indigenous gallery, and then we visited the Patchwork Girl exhibition where we made a patch. I love doing the interactive things at the gallery, and Sian and I happily played for quite a while.
Here is more information about the patchwork girl. She’s a character from an L. Frank Baum book (the Wizard of Oz creator). I love the description of her:
