Ok. A Packet

Cindy Tonkin - May 15, 2015

Ages ago i did sturt summer Sci with a fabric artist named inge hunter (?).
She used her scraps to make piles or packets. She used glue to stick them together and dipped hers in ink.
But these are the encaustic leftovers from the tiny library.
Can’t glue them.
So I’ve sewn them (or can we call this a single strand palm leaf binding? ;))
Letter k on top chosen because i rarely use it. Underneath is the letter o.
Inge also taught me that every piece of paper has six sides. So i used a jade coloured oil pastel along the edge of easy page.
It’s about 5cm square at the base.
