I cut these tiny dresses by hand from postcards and old calendars (left overs really). Then I added features with sharpie and liquid paper. Most of them were white on the back originally.
They were such darling little dresses, and because double sided i didn’t want to stick them down. There are a few of them in the tiny envelope which falls out when you open Twenty Seven Dresses. in an effort to use all of the beast, I put them onto a tiny flag book, and I do just love it. I’ll make another – this time around I used (again, using all of the beast) a little concertina i had floating around my desk, but it was too deep, and I had to cut each page down and reglue.
measures about 8 x 4 x 1cm
covers offcuts from the Fashion book i’ve been using for a few days.
From this piece:
- a longer set of flags
- a larger set of flags
- considering using the old art masters’ postcards in my substantial collection, cutting dresses from them, that would make a lovely set of flags
