Improvising in Sydney
I am an active stage improviser, playing on stages in Sydney’s Inner West.
Here are some of the improv shows I have produced and directed:
- Improvactually (2009-10)
- Pink Ladies: The All-woman Mockumentary (2010)
- The Jason Chin Project (2009 and 2013)
- Romantic Comedies and Tragedies (2013)
- Likewise (2014-16)
Improvising is an ensemble act. That means we’re all part of a community, both on stage and off. I believe it’s important to support communities that I’m part of, so I managed front of house for Impro Australia’s mainstage improvised shows at Belvoir Street Theatre and Enmore Theatre for 5 years. I was the production and marketing team for Impro Australia’s Scared Scriptless for three years.
Ludic Creative is my corporate vehicle. In corporate improv helps you create bonded teams, get more ideas and make your strategy offsite come alive.
With some fellow artists I regularly hire a studio at Willoughby Workshop Arts Centre, where we make things!
At the moment my big love is artist’s books. I’m is a founding member of the Sydney Book Art Group. Here are some of the Sydney BAG sheltering under the installation we did for the Sydney Writer’s Festival in 2013!
